Drummond Trinity 2 Won by 52 Runs
3 debuts in our team Saturday, Dan Connelly and his sons George and Magnus, all of whom contributed to a much tighter and tidier effort in the field as we restricted Drummond Trinity to 138 all out in 30 overs.
Dan took two excellent catches, one giving George his first senior wicket, Magnus also took a catch, (off the bowling of Cammy Paton), before taking over from Mel with the gloves and keeping very well. Mel had 2 wickets and a sharp catch behind and Grant Langlands added an excellent direct hit run out to 2 wickets. Robbie Nellies returned the best figures with 3/24 from 8 overs.
Unfortunately, despite a bright start with the bat with Cammy and Mel both scoring 13, and Robbie top scoring with 23, very accurate bowling meant that we were never able to keep up with the modest required run rate and we ended our 40 overs in 86/9
