Falkland 2s delivered an impressively professional performance at Scroggie Park on Saturday, sweeping aside St Modans by nine wickets in a match that never looked like slipping from their control.

St Modans chose to bat first but were immediately squeezed by a disciplined Falkland attack. Ryan Hepburn (3‑43) struck early and often, removing Pollock, Borade and Singh to keep the innings in check. At the other end, seamer Homayon Gajarwal was outstanding, returning a superb 5‑33 from 8.4 overs, hitting the pitch hard and finding movement to run through the middle and lower order. Only Mani’s counter‑attacking 30 offered resistance as St Modans were bowled out for 82 in just 17.4 overs.

The chase was handled with calm authority. Despite the early loss of Devon May, Callum May (34)* and Stuart Campbell (43)* took complete control, batting with patience and maturity to knock off the target without fuss. Their unbroken partnership guided Falkland to 84/1 in 19.3 overs, sealing a dominant victory.

It was exactly the kind of tidy, controlled display the 2s pride themselves on — and one that captain Ryan Hepburn was quietly pleased wrapped up early, giving him just enough time to settle in for the Scottish Cup Final.

A job done, done well, and done efficiently.
