First Win of the year for 2nds

Falkland 2nd XI 223 for 7 (45 overs)
(S Campbell 86, C Haresign 56)

St. Modans 110 all out (37 overs)

Falkland 2nd XI won by 113 runs.

After last weeks batting collapse we stepped up this week against St Modans. S Campbell top scored with 86, C Haresign fashioned a good 56 and along with useful contributions from W Sullivan, D Caldwell, S Meikle and myself, we managed 223 from our 45 overs.

Good tight bowling from S Meikle and L Briggs started the second half well, but with a 5 wkt haul for the second week running the star bowler was D Caldwell as St Modans were bowled out for 110.

Hopefully this is the boost we needed to kickstart our season.
