Falkland 2nd XI (25) : 108 for 9 in 38.2 overs.
(T Rehman 4 for 13, J Emslie 2 for 18)

Falkland 2nd XI beat Perth Doocot 2nd XI by 1 wkt

The first game of the season was a close run win, in a rain effected start with a reduction to 40 overs

Falkland 2nd XI bowlers kept the opposition score on a difficult wicket to 104 for 9. Well bowled Falkland team!

Falkland, however, did look a little rusty in some areas as this was the first run out this season.

Alan Hamilton batted well up front with Euan Sloan to give us a good start in what turned out to be a low scoring game. A number of low scores later didn't help our cause but the skipper consolidated the batting and Scott Meikle and especially Mike Watson in the
lower order helped the score along to tie the target at 104. At this point, a 2nd bye should have been run by the skipper to win the game, but it was turned down. This led to 2 wickets falling on 104 and nerves getting frayed, but with Greg Chambers and Grant Langlands at the wickets "all-rounder" Chambers hit the willing runs!!

Well played all - it showed we need to train Tuesday Night!
