Fauldhouse 109 all out
(M. Watson 3 for 9, C Watson 2 for 14, A. Yadav 2 for 16)
Falkland 110 for 3
(M. Morris 54, G. Gallagher 17 no)
Falkland won by 7 wickets
Mike Watson won the toss and invited Fauldhouse to bat first. Opening the bowling, Mike and Greg produced a tight opening spell bowling 4 maidens apiece from the opening 12 overs with Mike claiming 2 wickets. Avin and Callum Watson then joined in with 1 and 2 wickets respectively and, with a run out thrown in for good measure, the visitors were struggling on 20 for 6 from 17 overs.
Controversy soon followed when, with the bails removed because of the wind, both umpires and the batsman refused to believe that Avin had clean bowled the number eight who went on to have a swing, eventually scoring 58. This helped Fauldhouse set a modest total of 109 all out from 40 overs with Mike finishing with 3 for 9 from his 9 overs.
Mike Morris and Scuba opened the batting for Falkland and, once he had been dropped on zero, Mike made the most of his life, scoring 54. Always ahead of the rate, we never really looked in trouble and despite losing 3 wickets we made the runs inside 30 overs.
