Falkland 2s continued their highly impressive run of form with a thumping 9 wicket victory against Boroughmuir yesterday. Stand in skipper Ben Strachan won the toss and inserted the opposition aware that rain was forecast for later in the day. This proved to be a wise decision as some fine bowling from Grant Porteus, Mike Watson and Ben himself restricted Boroughmuir to 104 all out. Considering all 3 bowlers were not fully fit this was a great effort. Special mention to young Dev May who not only kept wicket for the first time but took 2 stunning catches off Ben and Grant. Mike Watson also moved closer to his 1000 wickets for the club now is only 2 short of this fantastic achievement. Falkland opened with Mike Morris and Cameron Nellies.Cameron was unlucky to be bowled for 12 by one which kept low. This proved to be the only blip in the Falkland innings as Mike was in imperious form smashing his way to 70 not out. Falkland reached their target after only 17 overs. Its now 10 wins from 10 played and it's hard to see who is going to stop the team on their march to the Division 3 title.
