Falkland’s CS T20 Cup run came to an end in the regional final at Forthill, where Forfarshire produced a decisive middle‑overs surge to claim a 63‑run victory. Falkland fought hard with both bat and ball, but a brutal sixth‑wicket partnership from Crawford and Stonebridge proved the turning point in a fast‑paced final.

Forfarshire batted first and were kept in check early. George Cutler struck in the powerplay, removing Leask, while Taha Khan and Tassawar Hussain added further pressure with disciplined spells. At 74-4, Falkland were well on top and controlling the run rate.

But the match flipped dramatically when Crawford and Stonebridge came together. Their partnership was the defining passage of the final. Crawford smashed 42 from 21 balls (six fours, one six), while Stonebridge hammered 46 from 27 with two sixes. The pair added 86 runs in no time, taking Forfarshire from 91–5 to 177–6 and turning a modest total into a daunting one. Falkland’s bowlers kept fighting, but the momentum had shifted decisively. Forfarshire closed on 182 for 7, a score built almost entirely on that devastating stand.

Chasing 183, Falkland needed a fast start but Crawford struck again - this time with the ball - removing Devon May and Sriram Muramalla inside his first two overs. Early wickets left Falkland 12-3 and struggling to keep pace with the rate. Adnan Mufti (36 from 37) and Tassawar Hussain (33 from 28) rebuilt admirably, adding stability and briefly giving Falkland hope.

But the required rate kept climbing, and regular wickets halted any chance of a late surge. Jarryd Lookwhy, Daniel Styer and Mohammad Hussain fell in quick succession, leaving Falkland 114–9. George Cutler and Taha Khan battled to the end, but the innings closed on 119 for 9, well short of the target.

Despite the defeat, Falkland can take pride in reaching the regional final and competing strongly across the day. The semi‑final win was excellent, and the bowling effort in the final was committed - but Forfarshire’s explosive sixth‑wicket partnership ultimately proved decisive.

A strong run ends one step short of national finals day, but the group showed quality, depth and resilience throughout.
