Falkland delivered a ruthless performance at Scroggie Park on Tuesday evening, sweeping aside local rivals Freuchie by eight wickets to kick off their Scottish T20 Cup regional qualifying group.

Freuchie chose to bat first but were under pressure immediately. Falkland’s attack was relentless, with Tassawar Hussain (3‑3) producing a devastating spell and Lyle Robertson (2‑9) striking twice with the new ball. The bowling unit tightened the screw through the middle overs, with Logan Briggs and Homayon Gajarwal both taking key wickets, while Daniel Styer and Greg Chambers picked up one apiece. Only one Freuchie batter reached double figures as they were bowled out for 64 in 17.1 overs.

The chase was handled with complete control. Devon May (19 off 12) set the tone with early aggression, before Robertson (19)* and Sriram Muramalla (18 off 11) kept the scoring rate high and ensured the result was never in doubt. Falkland cruised to 65/2 in just 8 overs, sealing a dominant derby win.
