(H Cooray 158 not out, M Surry 72, G Watson 41. B Creegan 3 for 60)
Stoneywood-Dyce II 48 all out
(R Hepburn 5 for 13, A Hamilton 3 for 11)
Falkland won by 277 runs.
Falkland had a very easy win at Scroggie Park on Saturday in what can only be described as a mismatch. The Aberdeen side had only 9 men and Falkland were at full strength. In uncertain conditions, Falkland won the toss and decided to bat. Graeme Watson and Matt Surry put on 106 for the first wicket but that was merely the prelude for Harsha Cooray's 158 not out which he bludgeoned all round the ground off a weakened and dispirited attack. To their credit the Aberdonians kept fighting, although there were some mighty hits in Cooray's 158 in 77 balls. There were seven 6's and fifteen 4s.
In reply, Stoneywood-Dyce could only reach 48, but that was due to some brilliant and accurate bowling from Ryan Hepburn in particular who took 5 wickets for 13. Alan Hamilton took 3 for 11 and behind the stumps captain Adam Ferguson took three catches, one of them absolutely brilliant. And today only 5 Wides were conceded!
Falkland have now won 5 League games out of six and travel to play Kinloch next Saturday
