Falkland Progress in 3 Counties Cup

The old rivals Falkland and Freuchie, played each other in the SPCU 3 Counties Cricket Cup (T20 competition).

Freuchie won the toss and decided to put the homeside into bat first. Falkland scored 139 runs in their 20 overs with Harsha Cooray top scoring with 68. Freuchie's bowlers Cowan and Mearns returned very creditable T20 bowling figures of 3 for 25 from 4 overs and 2 for 10 from 2 overs respectively.

The Freuchie batsmen had trouble from the start coping with Falkland's young bowling attack and were 10 for 3 after 4 overs. Freuchie were subsequently all out for 83 from 17.3 overs giving the homeside the win by 56 runs. J.Wallace top scored for Freuchie with 24. Lyle Robertson and Grant Langlands also returned excellent bowling figures of 2 for 12 from 4 overs and 3 for 26 from 4 overs respectively.
