Falkland beat Forfarshire 2nd XI by 99 runs

Falkland's last league match of the season took them to Forthill to play Forfarshire.

Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Stuart Campbell's team set the home side 229 to win. Ben Strachan top scoring with 81 from 78 balls was ably assisted by Euan Sloan 44 and Steven Meikle 36.

The Forfarshire reply never gained any sort of momentum thanks to Falkland's opening bowling pair of Darren Pearce and Grant Langlands, slumping to 30 for 5. Even a steady 47 from Rennie couldn't save the home side and they were all out for 129. Falkland won by 99 runs.

Played 16, Won 16, 400points, 100%, that's how the League table reads for Falkland at the end of the season as well deserved SPCU NE Championship 2018 winners.
