On a cold, breezy but sunny Spring afternoon at Greenpark, Greenock, Falkland were hosted in their First Round match in the National Village Cup by Kilmalcolm Cricket Club. The home side clearly enjoyed their Cricket and the spirit in which the match was played was first class. However, the match itself was rather one sided.
Ryan Hepburn, Falkland's Captain for the day won the toss and elected to bat. Falkland very quickly settled into the game with openers Steven Meikle and Adam Ferguson scoring 81 and 73 respectively.
