Falkland lost on the very last ball in an exciting Murgitroyd T20 quarter final at Falkland on Tuesday night.

Falkland batted first and their total of 115 for 8 looked a little less than adequate, even though Stephen Boyd and Ardene Ruhode batted well with Boyd hitting 4 massive sixes. Forfarshire's bowling and fielding was tight, however.

When they batted, it was Ryan Watson, returning to his old haunts, who top scored with 41, and for a spell, it looked like an easy victory for the visitors. But Falkland stuck to their task, and grabbed a few wickets to make Forfarshire graft for their win in an exciting finish. The last over began with Forfarshire still 8 runs short but the experience of Matthew Parker was enough to see them home.
