Falkland End the Season with Terrific Win

Falkland beat Heriots by 115 runs

Falkland won the toss and Captain Stuart Campbell decided to bat. The innings was steady if at times slow going. Ardene Ruhode scored 52 and when Safyann Sharif was joined at the crease by Ben Strachan, a brisk 53 was put onto the scoreboard with Sharif scoring 30 from 32 deliveries and Strachan 18 from 20. The home side were all out for 184 off 48.3 overs. Heriot's Adrian Neill took 4 for 41 and Mark Watt 3 for 35.

Falkland's bowlers Sharif and Strachan ripped into the Heriot's batsmen with probably the best display of bowling witnessed for some time by the home crowd. With excellent support from the rest of the team, Sharif took 6 wickets for just 19 runs and Strachan took 4 for 36 runs.
Heriots were all out for 69 from 22.3 overs. Falkland won by 115 runs, an excellent performance which produced a brilliant victory over a team that was aiming to finish fourth in the league this year. The Falkland players were a credit to the club.
