Falkland Won by 66 Runs

Falkland beat Freuchie on Tuesday night by 66 runs to reach the final of the Fife Cup to play against Glenrothes. It was a hot sultry night, and Falkland were indebted to Safyaan Sharif for his score of 105 runs in which he hit 7 sixes. He was ably backed up by Brock Ditchmen who scored 34 not out, while Cloete Buitendag got the innings off to a good start with 20 and Stephen Meikle scored a creditable 16.

Freuchie fell a long way short but went down fighting, and in young Ross McMurdo, they have a fine all-round talented young cricketer. On the Falkland side, it was nice to see Greg Chambers take 2 wickets.
