Magnificent Ton For Jack Henderson

Falkland 278 for 4
(J Henderson 137no, S Sharif 65)

Perth Doo'cot 46 all out
(B Ditchmen 4-16)

Falkland easily moved into the last 16 of the Scottish Cup with a thumping 232 run victory over Perth Doo'cot on Sunday. On winning the toss Falkland had no hesitation in batting and went on to amass 278 runs for the loss of only 4 wickets in their allotted 50 overs. The undoubted highlight was Jack Henderson's magnificent 137 not out. Jack batted throughout the innings and was well supported by captain Safyaan Sharif who followed up his own century on Saturday with a well constructed 65. The total looked well beyond the Perth side and it became an even bigger mountain to climb when seamer Ryan Hepburn claimed a wicket with the first ball of the innings. The home side never recovered and Ryan 3 for 21 and Brock Ditchmen 4 for 16 completed the rout in double quick time with the hosts bowled out for a miserly 46 runs. Falkland have a home tie in the next round against either Ferguslie (Paisley) or Heriots whom they play this Saturday in an Eastern Premiership match at Scroggie Park starting at 12 noon.
