Falkland beat their visitors from Aberdeen with almost embarrassing ease at Scroggie on Saturday in the Eastern Premier League. Stoney wood won the toss and made the questionable decision to bat first. Falkland bowled very sensible medium pace and were soon among the wickets, Ben Strachan excelling himself with the exceptional figures of 7 for 13 (and that was in spite of being hit for 6 by Conradie at one point!).

For Stoneywood no-one really got going and Falkland had little difficulty in reaching 52, although the cause was helped by Stoneywood conceding 20 wides! The game was finished before 2.30 pm.
