Forfarshire won the toss and elected to bat first. Unfortunately, loose fielding and a number of dropped catches allowed Forfarshire to effectively bat Falkland out of the game. Forfarshire scored 268 for 9 wickets in their 50 overs with G.Beghin top scoring with 102 and openers Robertson and Parker scoring 50 and 51 respectively. Brock Ditchmen returned bowling figures for Falkland of 4 for 73 runs from 13 overs.

During the break between innings heavy rain resulted in the Falkland innings being subjected to a Duckworth Lewis calculation. Falkland's target was calculated to be 215 runs from just 30 overs.

In pursuit of this, despite an excellent 46 from Grant Doig, Falkland were all out for 134 in the 30 overs.
