Falkland CC partners with local disability group to deliver cricket taster sessions.

Falkland Cricket Club were delighted to be invited along to Disability Sport Fife's Thursday morning multi sports sessions at the Michael Woods Centre in Glenrothes. The group of around 30 adults meet every week and take part in a variety of sports and activities.

Cricket is a sport they had not tried but one which they were very keen to have a go at. After a couple of pointers they literally smashed it and were all absolutely brilliant.

Club coaches Harsha Cooray and Robbie Nellies were truly humbled by the experience.

Robbie said ' It was a privilege for both Harsha and I to be involved with the group. The smiles on the faces at the end said it all'.

Disability Sport Fife's Pam Robson said 'The coaches were fantastic and introduced some of the skills needed for cricket in a fun and inclusive way. The cricket session was a big hit and we can’t wait to welcome Robbie and Harsha back throughout the summer. Thank you to both coaches for their time and effort, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did ! '

The club would like to thank Pam and Gayle of Fife Disability Sport for this opportunity and are very much looking forward to delivering future sessions'.
