Falkland 163 for 5 ( 20 Overs)
(H Cooray 102)
Forfarshire 162 for 9 (20 Overs)
(S Cameron 44 not out, F Duncan 37)
Falkland won by 1 run
In what can only be described as a superb game of cricket, Falkland beat Forfarshire by 1 run at Scroggie Park on Tuesday night. The value of Harsha Cooray as professional was paramount in the batting as he scored 102 in 72 balls, but when Falkland were in the field, it was no one man show, for Falkland bowled and fielded well with one particular caught and bowled by Logan Briggs well worth a mention. The latter stages were tense and for a while it looked as if Scott Cameron would win the game for the visitors, but with 14 runs required off the last over, Falkland were able to restrict them to 12. Both teams deserve great credit for serving up a great game of cricket.
