Falkland 230 for 5
(L Robertson 64 not out, G Watson 38)
Strathmore 91 all out
(L Briggs 4 for 17, R Hepburn 3 for 19; A Hamilton 3 for 33)
Falkland won by 139 runs
Falkland had a very comfortable win over Strathmore at Forfar, and the beauty of it all was that it was an all-round victory which did not depend on any one player. The weather was good, but heavy rain on Friday had made conditions a little more tricky than they seemed. Nevertheless Falkland won the toss and decided to bat. Four of the seven Falkland batsmen who came to the crease scored 30 runs, and Falkland's 230 always looked far too good for Strathmore.
And so it proved. Strathmore never really got going, and their top scorer was Milne with 20. Falkland stuck to their task, bowled and fielded well with Logan Briggs particularly impressive with 4 wickets for 17. The only down side of this victory was the 14 wides conceded out of 91, something that seems an unnecessary piece of profligacy.
5 League games remain, starting with Perth Doo'cot at Falkland next Saturday.
