On Sunday Falkland beat Doune by 7 wickets at a warm Scroggie Park to progress to the final of the Scottish Region of the Village Cup.

Doune won the toss and decided to bat. It would be fair to say that their innings never really got going after a slow start, but they reached 113 for 8 in their 40 Overs with Corser being their top scorer with 38. Their cause,however, was not helped by three Run Outs.

Falkland started off briskly with Cameron Nellies hitting 3 6s and 5 4s to reach 51 before he was bowled. Alan Hamilton scored 22 and Geordie Gallagher 26 not out as Falkland reached the undemanding total with over 17 Overs to spare.
