Falkland Won by 21 Runs
Falkland won their much delayed Murgitroyd tie at Scroggie Park last night with a 21 run win over Dundee HS FP in a high scoring T20 game. Falkland won the toss and chose to bat first, and were off to a great start with Cloete Buitendag hitting 26 from 10 balls before the innings settled down a little with Safyaan Sharif scoring 73 before being caught off a skier and Jack Henderson hitting 51 not out. In reply, Dundee HS hit the creditable 155 for 5 with some good hitting from Kevin Kyles. There was one remarkable catch when in a joint effort Ryan Hepburn and Safyaan Sharif combined to dismiss one of the Rashid brothers. Falkland's best bowler was Alan Hamilton with 2 for 18.
Falkland will now appear in the Finals Day for this region at Mannofield on July 5 against Stirling County, Aberdeenshire and Forfarshire.
